Ouch, poor little guy. That certainly looks like some sort of infection. Perhaps keep a good eye on your remaining fish as bacterial and parasitic infections can spread, even continuing to treat with a low dose of salt for a while will give you peace of mind. I also noticed that you used aquarium salt to treat your fish. Usually you only need table salt, one which is pure NaCl as aquarium salts often contain loads of extra minerals.
