help w/ cichlid ID

i bought this cichlid from my LFS and he told me it was SA/CA. after takin it home and really lookin at it, it almost looks african. ive searched on google under the name he told me to try and find a resembling picture and it was not even close.after searching and coming up empty so i figured this would be the best place to ask. ofcourse this is the 1st fish ive bought w/out doin any research and ofcourse its gonna bite me in the ass. plz help guys

and i forgot to say it almost looks like he has a beard. if that helps......and so bout the pics, i was messing around in my tank so it got a little foggy/ and there taken w/ an iphone
