help wanted

I recently purchased a ck and i didnt notice til now that he has little white markings im not really sure if its ICHTHYOPHTHIRIUS or bite marks on his fins although i dont see any on his body. I just want to know what i shld do, he's been with me for a week and none of his tank mates have any white marks is there any treatment i can use that wont harm his tankmates? your sugestions wuld be more than welcome......

When I think my fish are getting or have ich I add a little bit of salt to the water until I find out what exactly it is. That’s what I do. But I don’t have any knifes.
