Ok I just noticed some stuff on my Mono. It seems, brownish/redish/grayish and it's petruding off the surface of my Mono. It is different to Ich seem like. And it's not pure white like fungus.

I just did a water change and checked my level yesterday.

Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: .01

I'm adding salt and my water temp is 82-83.

This guy is in my big tank it it will be hell to try and catch him, but I don't want my other fish to get anything. I have noticed that most of the fish are "Yawning" alittle more than usual, not sure if thats significant or not?

The big one is a tiny tumor or small damage. The other stuff is ick...

Try some gel-tech penicillin....It could be a bacterial infection and that will knock it right out. Still looks like classic ick to me though except like I said the big sore....

agreed... it's ich... deff watch with raising tank temp though... cause if u dont do it correctly your increase your chances of spreading ich... i would deff isolate the fish too... and the big one looks liek a lil tumor

I do not believe it to be ich. How much salt is in there? SG? Arre you using marine salt? I wouldn't worry much--common for these things to pop up on fish & then just go away.

But Ich is white, this is brownish/gray. And Ich from what I know doesnt do to well in 82-83 degree water.. thats why I keep it on the high side. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ich multiplies faster in 82-83 degree water than in 72-78 degree water. When they tell you to treat ich at higher temperatures, it is so that the treatment will kill off ich faster.

Actually, higher temps raises metabolism. In the case of ich, it shortens it's lifecycle, causing it to leave the host sooner. The free-swimming cycts still must be removed by huge water changes & substrate cleaning.

I am still interested in the questions I posted above. I see FW plants in that tank. Keeping a BW fish in FW, will compromise it's immune system & could be what's happening here. Also, monos are schooling fish that grow to a foot, so a huge tank is in order for a school of them (~300g). They prefer marine conditions as adults.
