So i first noticed this coming from driftwood i collected outside it appears to a white hair/cotton, i just found my pleco dead with it all over his body, he been eating the wood. My jack dempsey seem to be unaffected by it.
I cant say if the pleco died from it. because the JD seem to be attacking it frequently, torn fins. Also it seem like he only eat the driftwood, he wouldnt eat algea wafers or veggies.

The pleco's wounds from JD attacks may have simply enabled the fungal spores to establish on the wounds. This is one time I see the actual fungal infection. Clean the wood off the fungal growths and remove the pleco.

so its a fungus?
