HELP!! WHAT IS THIS?

I need help! I just bought two need florida gars. There seems to be something on their backs. They look like little crabs and are blending in with their spots on the gars back. What are they? What do i do? Please help

Could be mites. Please upload a photo as it is way too ambiguous for us to properly identify the problem just by word of mouth.

If it is mites, you can get medication from Petsmart/Petco. I like Parasite Clear by Jungle Labs.

I think it might be lice. I was looking up stuff. I was able to actually pick the things off the gar with tweezers. so i will post pics in like 5mins

Very common problem with wild caught gars. You did the right thing by plucking them off (Fish lice Argus sp.) you will also need to treat the tank in case they have laid eggs and need to prevent an outbreak that can show up days to moths down the road.

yeah. my pictures aren't working..its hard to see them anyway because my camera doesnt zoom in that closely. but the things look exactly like tiny horseshoe crabs without a tail.
Two are about the size of a clipped pinky nail. the other one is about the size of a hole pinky toe nail

Sorry it is Argulus not argus. If you do a search on Fish Lice Argulus sp. you will find plenty of info.
