hi everybody im back. i have a problem. idont know
what i should put on my drip plate??? b4 the bioballs
i had micron pads but it clogs in less then a day
an i have to keep on switching it.
a thin later of very course sponge or some unrolled scrubbies.. then put a layer of polyfill under the drip plate... then bioballs.. then another layer of polyfill... then the micron pad...
micron pads are for water polishing not mechanical filtration.. this means they should be last in line before the pump..
i use poly-fill almost exclusively. its cheap to replace and filters out even tiny particles.
i have a layer of coarse filter pad on top of the poly fill, but this is only to catch food and stuff that gets sucked unto my overflow. the poly-fill really does all the work. and the tank is crystal clear using nothing more than the poly-fill.
