my bass ate mussel and shrimp for the first time weeks ago and when they did that i thought it was best to keep m ate that food for some time, today i thougt maybe some feeders because my other tanks where getting crowded so i put em in they ate 2 feeders??? this morning most of the feeders wher still swimming happy and free :irked: the bass are even scared of my jack dempsey who is only 15 cm my bass are 30 cm,
what the hell is goning on, did i make softy,s from them?? just because i fed non live for a few weeks?? or did i feed too much the past few weeks they ate about 10 to 15 mussel 5 shrimp and e few silversides each bass each day:) now they eat only one or two mussel each and a silverside.

last changes recently were that i took out the 4 pacus they were 30cm

normally they would have eaten them straight when i threw them in ive never seen them this skinny, maybey im soft myself and i give them too much food when they beg i cant stand it and i feed them, you can see the dempsey in the pics too, he s giving them a hard time, i took the pacus out, 1 week ago, just now as a test i put in a flowerhorn and a red bay snook they didnt even touch em, feeders are still swimming:irked:

They look really good. I wouldn't worry much about it. Have you actually checked your ammionia, nitrite and nitrate levels recently? They could still be a little shocked that they don't have the big pacus in there.

okay but i forgot to mention i also did a big water change because i had a lot of eggwhite"s in my water i refreshed 750 liter total last week, so the PH is a bit harder its now 7,5 used to be 6,5 nitrit and nitrat are fine

wow they are looken great. might be in shock from the ph fluctuation, from you moving a few things around taking fish out ect. also could be from the food.. make sure you wash them well or even soak them a bit, muscles are for marine fish and come from marine waters.. cichla cant tolerate salt makes them sick or maybe you just fed them to much over the past week. like i always say force feeding isnt healthy

yep you said that more than once to me, thanks ill feed less, tough im kind a addicted to it, im a bit of a feeder:), but its better for the water quality also to feed less , so ill do it:) hope they get aggressive again, because getting bullied around by a half your sise jack dempsey isnt cool if your supposed to be such a monster lol:D

lol hahaha.. make sure that you wash the muscle good too.. i am a addictive feeder myself ;)
