Have a Blue Acara...closing in on 3".. he has a small white bubble thing coming out of his vent. He was pooing at the same time, so I don't think it's anything poo related? I actually noticed it last night, but it was smaller and more pinkish, I just thought it was just poo...but definitely still there tonight! Will see if I can get a pic, but any ideas? I hope it isn't something like a prolapse..

(BTW, don't google fish prolapse without google safesearch on :nilly:)

Parasites...tapeworm? :( I had an unexplained death last night, a baby senegal, not sure if that could be related. Tank is 0 ammonia/0 trites/10 trates.

I was thinking camelanus until I saw the pictures. It looks like a prolaps. The best thing to do is to not feed it for a while and see if it takes care of itself. Use salt or a preventative medication to avoid a bacterial or fungal infection.
