Hey guys, I've had this little guy for almost a month now. he's been doing great but last night after doing a complete tank clean for the first time since i got him, he started acting up. Before cleaning the tank, he used to rub himself against the driftwood i had in his tank. i never thought much of it till i started reading about diseases now. what my lfs owner thought the disease might be is White spot and/or velvet. She sold me a medication for that disease specially formulated for arowanas. I've popped him in a small solitary tank now and am praying that he'd recover in due time. but he hasnt eaten since yesterday, i'm really worried about that more than anything cos if he doesn't eat, it won't help the recovery right? Please help for those who've had this happen to their fish. attached are pictures of him with the disease. last thing i'd want is for me to lose him, i've really worked so hard taking care of him and he's so special. i feed him frozen bloodworms that i cut up about 5 times a day since he eats so much and do 50% water changes every 3 days. Please help thanks!!!!!!
(the water turned blue from the medication)

Ah, he passed away today. really tough keeping him alive, i really don't know what else to blame but myself for his death. i've learnt so much about fishkeeping just by having this guy for about a month, was really awesome. best fish i've had so far hands down.
RIP Precious :( :( :(
