Help with 4ft tank

Hi,i hve a 4ft by 18 empty fish tank I'm confused which fishes to stock up the tank with..I love oscars n piranhas.can i keep both together in same tank or should I go fr only oscars or only piranhas..few ppl even advised me to keep oscars n chichlids together ...I'm very confused,pls help
