why not keep the shark =D I love my rainbow shark, I have a Jack dempsey and they get along fine, have you thought about a Jack Dempsey? Buetiful fish, get pretty large but should be fine for along time.

I would keep the shark and try some schooling fish that are tougher then tetras like barbs.

okay i had the same exact problem in my 55g my 2 inch rainbow shark ate everything so i restocked it here is my stock list:
55g:
1 rainbow shark
2 blood parrot(very fun they both share a cave with the shark lol)
3 tinfoil barbs(like 2inchers but they will need a lil bigger tank later on)
1 really small oscar i got it for free so yeah my friend breeds them and i always get the extra one)
3 great danios
2 panda barbs(idk but thats what the lfs calls them)
2 small clown loaches
and a 5inch jiardini arowana

ps:no one yell at me and tell me my tank is over stocked i am 14 and i now that it is overstocked but i have a small budget and plan on getting a 125+ tank in the next couple months so yeah

That Jardini is going to need a tank thats about 30 inches wide, a 125 isnt wide enough. Plus once it hits 8 inches+ its going to become a killer and will most likely slaughter everything you have...

Im just telling you know so you dont learn the hard way...

i know he is but actually i just mesuared him he is about 7inches right now and is very skittish wont even hand feed and hasnt killed a fish yet\
