Ok here are a couple of pics of a place on one of my big GTs. He is the only fish in the tank that is sick

This all started last week when I saw what looked like a blister near his mouth so I put salt in the tank at 1 cup per 30 gal and the blister went down but in the last 3 or 4 days this has started. I'm going to move him to a Q tank and start him on a 1 gph drip and add salt again.

Anyone ever seen this? Do you know what to treat it with? In the past I have used primafix and melafix but I have never been able to save one fish with it so I don't have any faith in it.

I have never seen a facial ulcer that bad but you say it started as a blister or swelling that ruptured. That is almost always an aeromonas infection, usually called furuculosus. The infection is usually systemic with the ulcer being the localized manifestation, it often carries secondary infections as well. You will need broad spectrum multi-agent antibiotics to give this fish a chance. Three that are suggested specifically for this are Maracyn Plus, Mardel's Tri-Sulfa, and AP's Triple Sulfa.
