Hi guys, being new to the big tank game (well, resonably big) I have a stocking list which is probably too big. Can anyone recoomend from the below what the best mix n match may be? Thanks in advance

2xBlood Parrots (One could be moved to my 62gal)
1xGold Saum
1xElectric Blue Jack Dempsey
2xClown Loaches (another growing out in my 62 but will be moving once big enough)
1x Red Shouldered Severum
4xTinfoil Barbs
1xSenegal Bichir
1xStriped Anistonus (possibility I am gonna take this back)
--------------------------------------------Already have all the above
1x Some sort of Dat (Just as a single specimen)
1xLima Shovelnose
1xSome sort of plec (this is a definate, but not a 30cm+ one. Prob going to be Bristlenose)
1xFlagtail
4xHoplos
1x Armoured/Marbled Bichir
---------------------------Above is the wish list:naughty:

it sounds like a good stock to me. You aren't suggesting keeping any extremely aggressive cichlids with more peaceful ones.

I would have a lot more clown loaches though. A dozen or more would like awesome.

Just make sure you don't get any large predators that will eat them. Limas get pretty big, don't they?

limas get around 1 foot, i kinda like the first one without the sev

Yeah the first one is the fish I already have in it. The bottom bit is what I want to add to it. I could prob move my Sev and/or Parrots to my 62 as well. 2 of the Clowns are already around 5/6 inches so should be ok with the Lima I think?

looks like a good stocklist, no obvious problems without counting any possible "different fish have different personalities".

Thanks for the replies. So if I get roughly all thats on that list you dont think I will be overstocked? I doubt I will even find a Lima as I havent seen one round here since I started.

Haha, went an got a Silver Dat today, an Eel, cant remember the name of the thing, and an Ornate Bichir. Only the Ornate in so far as the others are small an growin out in the 62gal forst.

Hoplo Catfish (Megalechis thorcata ) Great fish in groups, always active, always digging around in the sand too so helps keep that clean. Dont bother even the smallest of fish either, I would go as far as to say you could probably keep them with shrimp!!!
