Hey guys. Theres an indo datnoid for sale locally, 8" for $40. Wanna do this but only tank I've got open for him is a 75 gallon which has already has a fire eel, clown knife, and VATF. Is it okay to add him in? My dad says no because it will spike the water parameters and risk the lives of the other fish.

I would say no. The clown knife, VATF, fire eel will all outgrow the 75g as it is...Do you know how big your current fish get? I would only do it if your current inhabitants are small and you have a bigger tank ready for them.
Will it spike the water parameters to add the indo datnoid? No...that usually only happens when adding a bunch of new fish at once

Those are the sizes at the moment. I realize how big they will get, this summer I start the project of building either one monster tank, or two tanks around 250 to 300 gallons each. Depending on the compatibility between those fish and the silver arowana, mata mata turtle, and stingray.

Hate to be rude, but 100% agree with aclockworkorange... reason being, even with the best of intentions sometimes life just happens to us and your time / money or both can end up being tied up due to un-foreseen circumstances...
