Had another ammonia spike in my ray tank :(
did 2 60% water changes yesterday, also increased the turnover from 3x to 6 x now .
my tank is 350 gallon with 6x2 sump filled with some japanese mat, scrubbies and a chamber of K1.
not sure what caused the spike, its its because of the turn over or the K1 as when i cheked the movement of the k1 was not good as 1 of the the bubble wands i had in there floated
. was able to fix it now. ammonia back to 0 as of the monent.

but worried about a female ray which seemed to be pregnant. she is not as active as normal :( any way to help her?
i lost a pregnant female ray a few months ago due to same ammonia spike and ph crash, but this time there is no crash as i have already added crushed coral into the sump.

by the way she is currently separated from my other rays by a divider.
i do notice she wants to go back to the other side. will it be a good idea to remove the divider? my male seems to want to go to her side too.

Keep the water clean and wait it out. If the spike in water made the ray inactive then not much to do.
