is picked up two of these little guys today for $4, I like how they look and for $2 a piece I don't think it is a bad idea

Looks to me like a stressed Anomalochromis thomasi ... a dwarf jewel cichlid from West Africa commonly sold as an African Ram or African Butterfly cichlid.
i got it from a pet's supply plus and it was in a tank that was labelled as south american cichlids but we all make mistakes and it seems that I now own two Anomalochromis thomasi cichlids, thank you for the help in identifying my no longer mystery fish
