It looked healthy when I got it and it was eating fine yesterday. I don’t have a quarantine tank though.

Use a plastic tub or bucket and stick an airstone and filter on there.
Could you give me an example of what this would look like? Is these any brands of air stone that you would recommend?
If your Congo tetras are sick then it is honestly probably too late to quarantine as the bichirs have been exposed for over a week. What kind of filter do you have? How big are the tetras? My guess is that it just got stuck in the filter.
Sorry, I couldn't give you an example. But it would basically be like setting up a mini pond.
The Congo tetras for anywhere from one and a half to 2 1/2 inches in I was running a fluval 407 filter. Again, I don’t really think the Tetris were sick since they were eating just the day before and they were very active that night. I do intend on eventually making a 270 gallon pond in my house for the bichirs. If you have any suggestions on what I can do for that it would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, it won’t be happening for another 1 to 2 years but I am open to any suggestions.
