Ok, so I have a 10 inch, 1 year old (in my possesion) Archerfish. Yetserday when My fiance turned on the light he was fine, but an hour later when I went into his room, I noticed he was on the bottom of the tank on his back. I immediatly tuned the light back out and did a 25% water change. I also ran him throught the water quicckly, just incase he needed more air. Do Archerfish suffer from "sudden death"? All the other water conditions are ideal, temp is 78, and the rest of his tank mates are perfectly fine. Plese help! I do not know what is going on, or how to go about helping him. Any info you all would have would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Im not exactly sure why your archer would all the sudden start acting that way, BUT If you ask a mod to move your thread to the brackish water subforum or even repost this thread in that subforum I bet youll get a ton more answers alot faster. I really hope everythings alright with him, and wish the best. Good Luck!

do you have a test kit for nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, ph. the first mistake i made with my brackish GSP tank was when i was done cycaling it i wanted to raise the SG to alow a protien skimmer to work, but by raising the SG to fast i crashed the bio filter (good thing i hadnt got the puffer yet) the most you can alow the SG to change is 2 points mine crashed cause i went from sg.05 to sg.09 my bacteria adapted but if i had a puffer in there he would have died cause of the ammonia spike. life is a learning curve sorry for the loss
