Help with BREEDING all white midas and JK

Just got an all white midas male... (thanks ANT) want to breed it with my JK flowerhorn she is super ready but hes just a monster... I have him in a tank inside the tank... although there is a divider in the tank at the moment with other fish that i will be removing... should i just divide them until he gets used to the tank? i understand theres a chance he does not pair up but should i leave him in this smaller tank for a day... or for longer right next to her or on the other side of the divider???? i will be checking the responses later have to bring teh misses to the movies :(
 
I would put them in the tank with the divider between them. Let them interact a little through it. Give him a few days and then pull the divider. Make sure you have some time to watch them for a while. If he starts to hurt her or her him, put the divider back up. Good luck!!

ok so after they battled for a half hour they stopped and the female held her own but still ended up a lil ripped up... i put them in a divider now...
