Help with broken Filstar filter

I posted this in setup and filtration but didn’t get any help. My Filstar Xp xl stopped working sometime between last Sunday and this Monday. Once the water level dropped below the spray bar I noticed no water was coming out. So I checked to see if the intake was messed up and got air in it. But I noticed that there was no sound coming from the filter. So I checked the power outlet and it was fine. I’m not sure if there is anything I can do at this point for it. Does anyone know if there’s any way to save it? I want to try everything I can before I buy a new one.

Try taking the top apart and give it a good cleaning. I had one that quit working, then after a power outage it restarted. I assumed some was stuck in it and finally freed itself.

Did you remove the round cap on the other side? That's where the impeller goes into the motor. If you haven't, try removing the impeller and running hot water through the top. The Rena's usually run for awhile. Mine was in service for over 12 years, only reason I quit using it was because I cracked the top near the o ring so it wouldn't seal anymore.

I’ve taken it apart as much as I can. It makes no sound when I plug it in.

Would a new impeller help or do I just need to replace the entire thing?
