Help With Camera.

Hey guys, dont know where to post this so i posted it here. Well anyways i have a Canon PowerShot A630 Digital Camera, but whenever i take pictures of my fish they always have a blur in them if i dont use flash. But when i take it with flash it doesnt show the true color of my fish which i dont like. So what are some tips you guys can give me for taking clearer pictures.

Can you manually turn down the flash through the in-camera menu? If not, some people have covered the flash with tissue paper and that seemed to tone down the glare.

can you adjust the speed of the exposure? If so make it a bit faster and test it out.
