Help with Cichlid food- good brand & types

Any recommendations to good type of food for cichlids (African & American) as im looking for a new type which would help bring out its color and in growth. Appreciate if you would mention the type & brand as well....

To be honest where i live they dont get these brands & im left with products that dont seem to add value to the fish & its performance. Will be ordering myself supplies based on on ur recommendations and hope to get results.

Just one more thing my fishes range from 3 to 6 inches, so what size pellets do u recommend i get??

NLS had an excellant cichlid formula. My 9 inch fish eat 2mm pellets but they can also eat the 1 mm pellets easily. For your fish the 1mm pellet is fine, This stuff is concentrated so a little goes a long way.

I have been using Xtreme Aquatics foods and been very happy with it. Of course this whole topic will turn into a NLS debate... like usual.
