I tend to wait until 18-20 days to take them out of my butterfly peacocks. I find taking them out at 10 days they still have their egg sacks on and most die. once the time has come to milk them I take them out and put them in a breeder box inside a 10 gallon tank filled with water from the mothers tank, I then milk the mother using a bic pen cap or a rounded toothpick to open her mother and then rub her throat until all the fry are out and into the breeder box. Ill stick the mother back into the other tank after getting all the fry out. After a few days I'll let the fry out of the breeder box and into the rest of the 10 gallon. I think the first time they had fry they had about 10-15 and then more and more with every time they have fry, right now its about 35-45 which is about the max they will have at a time
