thanks for the quick responses. After seeing your answers, I did quick search online and couldn't find much info on temperment/compatabilty. How would they do with some other central americans in a 265 community?

I believe they will do well in 265, they reach at least 14" and are usually oblivious to other cichlids.
They need a good portion of vegetation in their diet to thrive, mine can easily polish off peas, and a leaves of romaine lettuce, they even eat the algae I scrape off the sides, and leave bite marks in wood.
