have 3 laoches,2 of them r active and eating but one is skinnier than the others and wont eat and just stays at bottom of tank...any idea?or any suggestions wat i should do?

You have two options: either you try lacing the foods with garlic to tempt him or find levamisole hydrochloride and treat all fish with it for possible internal parasites. It is fine for treatment in a community tank considering it does not harm the biological filtration nor the fish unless improperly dosed.

Add more loaches. On the health side of things, does the skinny loach have a back that looks like a 'knife'? Search for pictures of 'knifeback'.

Try getting a few more friends for them.

I also use praziquantel.

Whenever i treat for "skinny" disease (internal parasites), it may be just me, i like to isolate the fish that show signs in a hospital tank. Not sure if the treatments really have no ill affects to the other fish but for me i would rather just not risk it.

Anyways, good luck with them!

Some meds such as metronidazole, praziquantel and levamisole hydrochloride aren't really harmful to the fish though of course, I agree that you should be cautious when using treatments.

thanx guys, but sadly the cl passed away this morning=(...how many og them should i have,i currently have 2 cl's with my baby jar?is that good?

Jardini arowana? You realize their aggression will put the loaches in danger, right? On the side note, keep 3 as the minimum. The more, the better but keep tank size in consideration before you attempt to buy more.

I don't isolate them, I just treat with meds, garlic, and a high protein diet. Usually works.
