my clown loach seems like it is being pushed up to the surface and it tries to swim down. it has to stay under the driftwood or it will stay at the surface.
anything like this happen to anyone else? please help

dude uhhhhh i dont know. I have had clown loaches for years, seen all kinds of stuff... havent ever seen that though. Is he showing any other symptoms? red gills? rapid breathing? super skinny? white dots (ich)?

You're not being very specific. He can't swim down but makes it down to the driftwood?

Is he the only Clown in the tank? How long have you had him? What are your water perameters? Do you do frequent water changes insuring sufficient oxygen in the tank.

A lot of times fish will tend to stay close to the surface when they are not getting enough oxygen.

Swim bladder issues.

This screams swim bladder difficulties, 2 real likely causes.... can't tell which applies with out a LOT more info.

What changes have been made recently? Water parameters? Water maintenance routine?
