Help with clown-loach

Hi!

My friend, ettfettbranamn, has a clown loach which he found floating on the surface. He have moved it to another tank for treatment but don't really what to do. So we are wondering if you guys have any clues..
The loach have problems with one of its gills, and has faded colors and turned greyish...

Any ideas?

He don't have access to any computer atm, so thats why I'm writing..

I reared on before and that had happened to me too.I tired very hard to stop it from dying bu it was too late.I think it is terminal.

Floating on the surface?... Maybe swim bladder issue? Those are tough to treat.
