Help with crab problems

Hey I was wondering is there a way to stop crabs from stealing your bait?

unfortuantly no, i had this problem last year. soon they will leave and the fall bite will be back on

That is good because I am going saltwater fishing soon. Today I went and the crabs stole my bait at least 5 times.

You keep them and eat 'em. Then, there will be less crabs around to steal your bait.

How are you supposed to catch crabs on a fishing rod because the current is to strong a the mouth of the river to swim out and catch the crabs where I am going fishing.
