I caught a very small diamond turbot earlier this week while pumping for ghostshrimp. What should i feed him, i have droped frozen brine shrimp in front of him and he won't eat them. He is currently in a 40 gallon tub, i will probably get a tank for him soon. Any tips on taking care of him, i have had many fish, but this is my first flatfish.

Try some small ghost shrimp.

I love the Flounder!!!!! They are awesome fish I had a Hogchoker back in my FW tank.... Mine would eat Bloodworms

never had one, but since its a bottom dweller id say copopods, worms, or other small bottom dwellering foodstuffs. maybe mysid shrimp? I'd say live of what ever your feeding as its wild caught so frozen probably wont work. It likely needs the stimulus of live to begin the feeding process... I would also try small chunks of fish as well.

I would also suggest getting some substrait similar as possible to what you found it in, as he likely wants to hide, which mite stop him from eating untill he feels safer, possibly provide some sort of rockwork cover as well.

I would try bits of squid, mussels, clam, shrimp, krill but in smaller pieces as well as run a search on Yahoo about the flounder
