Here.
I would like to try breeding Discus , it's been a good 15 years since I have kept Discus so I have a few questions....

What is the best hardness and pH for them? ( Please don't tell me they will "adapt to my tap water")

Currently I am still setting up Tanks and looking at getting some adult prs imported , so I don't have the fish as of yet.

Also what is the best size tank to house a pr? 2'x2'x2'?

Thanks if you can help.

Wilds or domestics? I keep discus, but have never bred them. I have read that breeders recommend TDS of 70ppm or less for domestics and a GH no higher than 7.

I breed discus and find they perfer soft acidic water with a ph around 7.. 80-82 F. Tank size at least a 20 gal for a breeding pair, preferably a 29 gal... I have several breeding pairs housed in 20's... run with a sponge filter
