i have a turquoise discus(male)and a red map (female)
this is the third time same thing happened...the breed successfully even the eggs hatch but after hatching parents eat the fry on 3rd day....what should i do?

feed your discuss more....thats the only thing i can think of. discuss fry need to be with the parrents as they eat the slime coat from the parents witch is important for there groth.... u interested in selling them?

Sometimes a young pair of discus will eat their fry. In most cases they will eventually get it right. If not, you may have to try changing partners.

It just takes them time or you can take the fry out and raise them yourself.........

Purchasing a 20g-55g tank to growout the fry will drastically reduce the number of fry dying off...........Get a sponge filter and a heater, thats all........Put the temp at 82 degrees..........Fill the tank up half only for the first two weeks...........Do 50% water changes everday for the first 2-3 weeks........

eat them urself for protein before the parents have the chance
