This is my first time doing a full 3d backround alone and I need to know if after I cut all my Styrofoam in the shape that I want do I A.) Coat each piece with dryloc and silicone it in place or B.) Lay the complete backround in and dryloc coat it with a paint brush as a whole in multiple coats?
Also....is there anyone with pix of ones that they have? I'm looking so design ideas like as how it will look caves, divets, support pillars and new ways to hide two underground filters tubes and power heads as well as a 55 gallon top filter. And all of it has to be easy to take apart for cleaning.....lol
Any help would be great I'm new to the site so I might need a lot of explaining to.

Either way is fine in the end. Depends on how you can fit it in your tank.

I had to coat it with the pieces in the tank because of the eurobracing on top of my tank. It was a huge PITA.

I'd coat it before installing it if at all possible.

As far as hiding things.....Just cut your stro. to fit around the stuff you want to hide. You just have to be creative. Think of it like a middleschool art project hahaha.
