Help with driftwood

Ive seen this posted before but i didn't really get any info on how to fix it so ill see if anyone knows anything. I posted some pictures of my driftwood i have in my 75 and it has some white fungus and other crap looking stuff on it like its dirty. Ive boiled it and scrubbed it off but it still seems to always come back. Ive read that the white fungus isn't harmful but it just looks bad and if anyone has some info on how to remove it that would be a great help! (Btw the driftwood does not leach the tannins and it is also completely water logged)

If you dont get any better suggestions, you might give Maracyn 2 a try. I have used it in the past to clear various "growths" in my tank including cynobacteria. Dont see where it can hurt.

Yeah that looks funky. A pleco would probably eat it off. BB is usually tan not white. Careful not to overfeed.

May not have boiled long enough... Boil it for several hours in saltwater (table salt). Always worked for me.

Yeah i have been very careful on the feedings after i had a bad ammonia reading awhile back so maybe ill try a small dose of meds to see what it can do. My snails would probably have takin care of it but my ornate decided to gut them.

I had the exact same thing when I put driftwood in my tank. I asked all over but no one seemed to know what it was and how to get rid of it. Eventually it just went away and never came back.
