so I have a small bulldog/rubbernose pleco in my tank. It's about 1.5 inches long, and I can't tell if it's getting much to eat because I don't get to see it very often and I can't tell if its belly is full or not. Anyways, knowing that algae would not be enough for the pleco, I got some algae wafers which I have yet to see it eat. It might be eating it, it might not. I also feed ocean nutrition formula two pellets, which have a high spirulina content and other good stuff, but I don't know if it's eating those either. I have driftwood in the tank as well.

Anyways, I suppose I should try putting some actual veggies in there. Are baby spinach leaves ok? I have little confidence that my bulldog pleco will actually eat it, because it hides most of the day, but i guess it's worth a try. Any advice on getting a good feeding response?

other foods I use in my tank include live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, shrimp pellets, and flakes btw, all of which are probably no help at all for the pleco, but I just thought I would mention it

Take a good sized zucchini, slice it in half length wise. Take half of it and either stick a spoon thought it or rubberband it to a rock. Put it in there about an hour before you turn the lights out. Then remove it the next morning. Repeat this until he its day and happy. It might take a little while for him to try it but once he does you won't be able to keep him off of it!
