help with feeding lima shovelnose

My lima only eats live foods wanted to know if I can get him on pellets or anything else the only live food I can get is guppies or red rosie minnows I know tht the minnows arent healthy but I dont know how to try and convert him to other foods thts wat the pet store fed him

Most just stop feeding live until the fish except pellets or even frozen such as Tilapia, Krill, or Shrimp.

+1 will eventually take pellets.

I have one that fasted for almost a month until it broke. I actually gave up on it after feeding guppies and killing its tank mates with columnaris. It now eats anything you throw at it. If you have to feed live then cleanest feeders I can think of are ghost shrimp.

I feed my tsn x rtc hybrid small pieces of cut up tilapia. You can buy it at Walmart and they should accept it. You can even pre cut the tilapia and freeze it into cubes for easy feeding in the future.
