Hi everyone
I have a new 8x2.5x2 tank with 12ml glass. It has a weir in the right corner. It has been drilled at the bottom of the weir and has a connection attached(not sure of the size). The top of the tank has not been drilled.
So I have 2 options. 1st is to not fill the tank all the way, so water does not fill the weir, I can then attach 2 x cannisters. Will the water pressure have an impact of on the empty weir?
2nd option, probably the one I will go with, is a sump. What size sump would suit this tank? Since the tank hasn't been drilled at the top, can I use hang on returns? Can I split the return into 2 so I have flow at both ends? I was thinking of a 5000LPH pump. I'm not to technical with sumps and filtration, I'm not sure what size tubing to use for the correct flow and returns, I need to get the correct flow so there is not too much water pumping back to the tank, and that the weir is draining quickly enough. I dont want water everywhere whilst experimenting!
Thanks for your help in advance.
