Help with Fish ID

So i bought this little guy around 1.25-1.5 inch at my LFS for $14(tagged at $26 but the lady rang me in for $14...). I asked the staff there if they know what it is, they had no idea. I asked if it's a flowerhorn and they don't think it is a flowerhorn.

Please help with IDing this fish below and if possible, sex it as well.
