Help with fish is please

My son wantwd this new fish from petsmart. Cause it had the red eyes like my flowrrhorn. It had nice coloring. Lots of red in it. Persmart said it was a red texas. But now it hasnt turned really dark cor. And very very aggressive.
Not sure what it ia. I dont think its a red texas. And it looks diff from my pk flowerhorn. Can anyone help

When we got him about 2 weeks ago. He had alot of red in his finns and belly. Now very dark. Almost full black. Hes in a 40 gal tank. With a mirrored background

So it is a flowerhorn. Do they turn real dwrk like that sometimes. My pk hasnt. Its just a little smaller. And tbis new fish like i said is very very aggressive

Faders do, they'll go through the stage of turning dark, sometimes completely black and will then start "peeling" into a different color.
