Hi

After several trialsI could get some 150 fry from my Flowerhorn pair. I had seperated them in a tank. Every thing was fine.

The problem is everyday one to three will die! Is that normal ? I am feeding new life spectrum fry starter, I have put two sponge filters and I did partial water change.

Some of them looks healthy and growing and some looks weak and dying. They are 10 days old now!

Could any body advise please.

45 gallons
Now they are about 40 fry
The rest are looking just fine and growing

Will the bubbles coming out of the filters kill them?
No not at all don't worry about that all I use is sponge filters.

I started out with 100 and now I'm down to 30 solid big fry that I'm eyeballing. When my fish breed more than 1,000 come out and I'll scoop a few usually 100 or so. I don't have tanks to supply thousands so I let them with the parents and usually get eaten.

I have my fish now in a 40 gallon sump and they're blooming. There two months now and pretty decent size.
