help with flowerhorn

i have a flowerhorn. he is about 3 and a half inches long. does he need a water heater close by. and all he does is swim up like he is about to die. i just got him and i dont know if this is normal or what. he will just sort of sit at the top of the water and look at the lid but doesnt move. what is this???? he isnt eating either not that i know of. i just got him two days ago. what should i do
 
you need to know the water perimeters and the temperature. keep the temp at about 75-78

YIKES!!!!! Do you have a filter? Water movement is IMPORTANT,and yes they need heaters.But seeing as you live in Nic maybe it's hot enough.What is the water temp now? These are VERY tough fish,if you kill it then you are baaaaaad.Keep the water level a bit low for high oxygen infusion........tell us ALL your peices of equipment and how you regularly care for your fish,then i/we can help.

Yes we need to know ASAP. He's not eating because he adjusting to the new enviroment. Did you even cycle your tank? If not bring him back where you got him. As BadBass said FH are very hardy fish anf if you kill it your obviously doing something seriously wrong! Also how big of a tank you got him/her in?
 
you need special ariation like another bubble machine. my fishes almost die but i saved them with another aiation sistem as a waterfall
