I am new to breeding and I am on my second batch of fry (approx. 250). Both sets of fry seem healthy enough, and eat well. I have each batch in a 10 gal tank with sponge filter only. I feed live BBS 3 times a day with 50% water changes following each feeding. My question and concern is that the fry rarely leave the bottom edges of the tanks. They tend to "clump" up in little clusters. Only when the water is disturbed during my water changes do they freely swim around the tank. My first batch of fry are 3 weeks old and my second batch a week. Both display the same behavior. Is this normal? I have never seen it in any videos or photos that I have seen.
