Help with glass tops

I got some new glass tops cut last week and I'm looking at a way to join them without using the long plastic piece sold in pet shops. I initially thought of using aluminum hinges but thought maybe there's another (cheaper) way. At help would be greatly appreciated.

I found these at Lowes.. Not sure if it'll work though.

NVM, found the canopy hinges on sale at "that pet place" for 4.95 each. Much better than the door hinges and costs about the same.
