Just within the past week, my green severum developed a strange disease all over this head...Part of it looks like the begininning of HITH and the other part is like warts...No other fish in the tank have anything like this. It just appeared over night basically. I don't know aht to do to get rid of it. I bumped up the heat and added salt, but I can't add meds since the tank also has catfish in it.

Hith through and through im afraid.

Bump up her feeding, good quality pellets etc. Judging by her chin, shes a good eater in the first place.

If things get worse, then im afraid its a quarantine job and apply the meds. Looks very far along though. definately been growing over a few weeks.

Best of luck

Thanks, I have a QT tank if needed...That tank is on a pretty good waterchange schedule so I wonder why this suddenly happened...that sux. so waht are the wart looking growths on the side?

no meds yet!!! QT the fish, feed normal, WATER CHANGES is your best friend. no meds yet.

it looks early enough, just keep up the water changes, maybe do them a little more frequently just to help. I treated hith before with metro-soaked food and it seemed to work, although the water changes were massive at the time as well
