Hey, My little GT keeps on swimming into the rocks cause my little turd of a Jack Dempsey chases him into a piece of slate. So far he's cut up his head a bit and cut his belly. Do you think that's worth putting him in my 20g hospital tank?

it may be depending on how bad(pics). if the jack continues definitely, but if he seems to be leaving him alone just up the temp and add some salt.

I agree. You have to decide whether or not the injury is worth quarantine. If the GT is being harassed so much that it doesn't come out to eat, then its time to separate.

Their all juveniles and their in a 45. I plan on moving them to a 150 when they get bigger.

Move the GT. Raising your temp with both fish in the tank will only make things worse. Higher temps cause increased metabolism and aggression. If the JD is already aggressive, raising the temp will only make him worse.

What if he likes the GT more?:D

Just messing with ya'll:headbang2

what all do u have in ur tank? i have two gts and two jds and a convict in my 55, they are all about three now and the gts have the jds to one side lol
but eventually ur jd will be the king.
i threw a red zebra in with my 8 in and my 6 in jds and even though they r a breeding pair he still gives both a run for their money all the time.
