My tat has been trying to lose a tooth for about 12hours now. And it is stressing him pretty bad. He can not close his mouth and is just constantly swimming back and forth moving his lower jaw and pushing his crooked tooth into his upper lip area. He has now taken off all the skin where the tooth is making contact. I have checked all param's and everythiing is fine 0-ammonia 0-nitrite 10ppm nitrate and ph is right around 7.0. I have had this fish for 10months to a year now and he has lost teeth before but neverhad any trouble that I have noticed. I went ahead and did a WC anyway and added some salt for the wound. I have added feeders hoping he would break that tooth off in one but he is not interested.------------------------Is there anything that i can do. If i new it would not stress him to the point of death I would net him and pull the tooth But I really think that would push it over the edge right now. By the way he is about 7'' in length and he been noraml up until todday. ------------------------HELP

Well i just got home and he has his mouth shut now.BUt his tooth on the right side is outside of his mouth. So I guess i will just leave him alone and see where this goes.

Or you can come down in the middle of the nite when he is asleep, net him out and remove the tooth. No struggles no stress.

Well today he has both of the teeth inside of his mouth. I do not know if the one finally fell out and the new one has came in or what. But now I just have to get this sore healed up and all is well again. I guess it is just a down side of having fangs. thanks for all the suggestions
