Help with ID

Hi, does anyone know what cichlid this is? It was being sold to me as a Salvini, but I wasn't too sure. I'm guessing its something in the amphilophus genus?

I edited your photo a bit to help show traits.
The very light substrate in the tank will tend to wash most cichlids out.
It could very be a male salvini, males don't show the same vibrant colors females do (again, especially on that light substrate).
But then again with all the amateurs randomly crossing this and that these days, and its generic overall look its always a crapshoot.
It could also be one of the many generic members of a flower horn spawn,

Does not look like a pure bred fish to me. My guess would be something like salvini/uropthalmus mix, but that's just a shot in the dark.

IMO it's a Central American hybrid of some kind.
