Help with identifying this cichlid please.

Hi, Apologies for not the best picture quality, can anyone identify this Cichlid for me? have had him a week, he's a sociable fella (or girl), but not been able to identify, LFS I got him from wasn't sure: he'd come in with some other fish via someone who was giving up. Current size is about 2 inches long. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I agree, looks like aureum. Probably a female.
Thanks so much Guys, seems to have buddied up with my firemouth well, picked up a geophagus at the same time: possibly a pellegrini but not been able to get a pic yet, when I do will post & seek your wisdom again. Wayne
 
It is thorichthys aureaus. You can tell by the type of blue the spangles are on its sides,it also has the orange Base colour you see in this species.
These fish do poorly in temperatures over 75 degrees and like well oxygenated flowing water.
They won't last long in warmer oxygen depleted water.
