I have a 90 gallon with 2 breeding jewels and 2 peacock eels. I am going to move them to a 55 so I can clear up the tank for something else (discus in the future). I want to add fish fish back to the tank but i'm worried that they to will get infested. How do I stop this from happening. The only other things is the tank has massive algae on 3 of the sides of the tank (i thought and so did my buddy that it would look good). My plan is to get rid of the stock add a flagtail and black ghost night to the tank (have in other tanks). I am wanting to go get a fancy pleco tomorrow. What can I do can I bake the substrate to kill everything?

keep all fish out of the tank for at least a week. Parasites can not survive without a host. Put the infected fish in a hospital tank and fight with meds, and leave the 90 gallon totally fish-free for a while.

what i'm going to do is take out the fish and put the drift wood back in (took out for other reasons) and add tons of salt. After I take into consideration the wood and gravel it will be over 4 times the salt needed for a regular salting. nothing will survive.
