Hello I'm planning to redo my tank and I am still not 100% sure what sex my Jaguar is and if it will turn into a stunning specimen. I'm planning to get rid of all the fish but im stuck on if I should get rid of the Jaguar or try to find small more Speckled Jaguar. I live in the Dallas area and Jaguars are not rare but Uncommon here and I dont know how easy it would be to find another. Ideally I want a Male Jaguar solo in my tank or salvini + Jack Dempsey mix. Im looking for more showcase and which preferably would be better..... Im stuck, If I could find a nice male Jag Doesnt matter size I would jump on it. Does anyone know of anywhere I could find them? OR would a Salvini + Jack dempsey stocked tank be better. Sorry Im kinda asking like three questions but I hope for some good answers!!!!:naughty: 20150204_163555.jpg

Look at the body shape and color pattern I would say it's a female Jag, venting is a sure option. Let's see what other members opinion.

In a 75 I'd do the jd and salvini. In my opinion a 75 is too small for an adult male jag. I've only had 1, but it was easily 12+ inches in a year and I bought it at 2-3". When I sold him he was easily 14-15" and that was less than 2 years after acquiring him.

I would agree with that fish on fire, but? depends on age, so the question age and size? if a female jag they are allot more social, looking at topping out at 9 to 10 inches and allot more calm, A male requires a 6ft 125g minimum.

for a stunning jag, look to raps and see what he has in stock, both my jags from him, WC.

this pair from raps, got at 6 inches female and few months later male 4 inches, they are in a 145g.
this 2 weeks ago, they are 2 years and 1.5 years.
